Bloom

I wanted to make a quilt using the Tyvek that we painted and heated in a class I'm taking. My first thought was to do an abstract piece but then I was inspired by Frieda Anderson's flowers on the cover of Quilting Arts Magazine, so I came up with this.

The tyvek is used in the center of the flower (with beads added) and for the "sashing".

The quilt is 13" x 13".

I swear you must have a huge supply of batik, Karen. And lovely stuff, too. How did you do the blue edge to the flowers? It makes a nice bit there. I like the shiny thread also. Nice piece, good work.
You need to tell us the dimensions. You know I always ask. LOL
