I've been at a quilt retreat the last few days, where I sewed, and sewed, and completed this quilt top. I worked from Margaret Miller's Strips that Sizzle Book. It's fairly big, about 60" x 72".
Wow, Karen. This is a beauty. You were really productive at your retreat.
I was reading your blog and noticed the Bug quilt you photographed from Sept.- Innovations. That was one of the quilts I stopped and studied at PIQF. Amazing quilting and interesting addition of color, with pencils!
I like the green and yellow and of course I love any Strips that Sizzle. I like your border treatment. I always mean to try something like that and never end up doing it.
Wow, spectacular quilt. Doesn't it feel good to finish something so great? It's good to hear you got alot done at the retreat.
ReplyDeleteI have/had that book around here somewhere. I forgot how great those quilts look.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and the offset Log Cabin. The dark green border really sets it all off.
Glad you had a good time and a productive one.
