I have a couple of patches of these Oriental Poppies that won't die, no matter how badly I treat them. Their leaves are one of the first signs of spring, and I do love the blooms. They don't do well as a cut flower, and the blooms seem to sag quickly. Of course maybe that's a hint for water. Right now they are a brilliant splash of orange that makes me smile as I wash dishes.
