July Flowers

Here are a few pictures from the yard that I took last month.

This is an early view of my cutting garden, with just a few sweet peas, crocosmia, volunteer poppies, and dahlia in bloom. It looks very different today.

My Sister-in-law, Randy, made me this wonderful gazing ball.

Lilies by the pond.

  2. Hi Karen - Your garden is beautiful! Since the wedding is finally over and the weather is so nice, I've been trying to get my yard under control finally - what a challenge! QSDS was wonderful, I really enjoyed studying with Valerie Goodwin. She's teaching at La Conner this year, I might try to take her "Black and White" class. The whole atmosphere at QSDS was great. I felt like I was back in school again - working late in the studio, having critiques.. There were many talented people there students and instructors - some who had quilts in the Quilt National show, and they were all very friendly and eager to share ideas and offer help... I'm really hoping to go again next year and study with either Rosalie Dace or Sue Benner - tough decision! Wanna go?? We also want to go on a honeymoon at some time here... and I also committed to a workshop with Nancy Crow in February. I'm very excited about that. Hope to see you Monday!
