Signs of Spring

Here's the daisy fabric that I bought, the larger Daisy's are about 3 3/4" across. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with this. I took this picture with the fabric folded over, so you see shadows of the second layer flowers underneath - sorry!

Things are starting to bloom around town, there are trees covered with pink blossoms, I think they are flowering plums. Since we are at a slightly higher elevation, our plants tend to be a week or so behind, but still we've got a few blossoms.

I went outside this morning before today's storm arrived and took a couple of pictures of things. Here's the Forsythia starting to bloom.
These Iris surprised me. I thought they would bloom later, grow taller.
I had big plans last fall to plant bulbs in pots on the deck, but never got to it. Last week a local supermarket had bulbs in 4" pots so I bought some. Although my original plan was to do a mass planting of just one kind, I fell to the lure of all the different flowers so have Narcissus and Tulips in the pot with the Iris.

The news called this storm "The Pinapple Express" because it's blown across the ocean from Hawaii. It's suppose to be warm and very wet, so far all we've gotten is the wet.
